Coach Stephanie Champine

GLASS CITY VOLLEYBALL COACH FOR TEAM: 16 ELITE

STEPHANIE CHAMPINE has a true passion for volleyball. She is a very experience player and brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the game. This is Stephanie’s first year coaching at Glass City, but she has been a Hitting Specialist/Instructor for two years and led the All American Volleyball Camp this past summer at the Paragon.

Stephanie graduated from Bedford High School where she played on their volleyball team. After graduation, she attended Owens Community and played on their volleyball team from 2006 – 2008. At Owens, she was a highly decorated player and their team captain. She was awarded with Most Valuable Player two years in a row. She was also named All American and All Conference two years in a row. She had her jersey retired and was inducted into the Owens Hall of Fame.

After Owens, Stephanie studied Psychology at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was a member of the volleyball team from 2008 – 2009 and was also named team captain. At Austin Peay State University, she also received high honors on the court. She was awarded Most Valuable Player two years in a row, named Newcomer of the Year in 2008, named Conference Player of the Year in 2009, named All American 2008-2009, named Female Athlete of the year in 2009 and is a Hall of Fame Athlete.

Stephanie continued to play volleyball after college and played on the Lakeshore PVL team from 2015-2016 as a libero/outside player.

Stephanie started coaching volleyball in 2010. She has been a coach at Toledo Volleyball Club, Monroe High School and is currently the Start High School JV Head Coach.
