GLASS CITY VOLLEYBALL COACH FOR: 17 EARLY BIRD & 17 ADRIAN

MISSY HIER has thirty-two years of volleyball experience that began with a 4 year career setting in Ida High School. From there, she coached at Emmanuel Christian Schools. In their fifth year, they won the ACSI State Championship and was able to see some of her first players play college ball.

She began individually training athletes and running adult leagues through Washington Local Schools. She returned to run the Monclova Christian Academy Volleyball program. At Monclova Christian Academy Volleyball, many records were set and wins were established. This was the first school sport-wide TAAC win accomplished. She was able to send another player to play college ball (this player is a current Glass City coach now).
She went on to coach junior varsity at Toledo Christian where they enjoyed many winning seasons and district domination. She assisted the varsity to the final four in state championships in 2011. She was also  the head coach for Jefferson High School in Michigan.
In the 7 years with Glass City Athletics, she has instructed the Primary Skill Enhancement programs, personally trained athletes, coached American, regional, early bird and in-house teams, and last year she directed the Adrian Satellite division. Her teams have won division finals 2 times, once reserve, and many medals in tournaments. She has trained several girls that went on to play for college. Many of the younger trainees and in-house players she has coached have gone on to play travel ball. She looks forward to directing the Adrian Satellite again with the Jackson Satellite as well as running more programs for younger players (4th-8th grade) in both Toledo and Adrian.
Her heart is to improve anyone that wants to get better and put in the work. She really desires to see Michigan volleyball raise its level of travel play. Refining top athletes, instilling confidence, and building a positive mental attitude are foundational to her mission of positively impacting lives through the fun sport of volleyball.
