Coach Lamar Rice

GLASS CITY FURY COACH FOR TEAM: 6TH GRADE BOYS – BLACK

LAMAR RICE is a new coach to the Fury program! Lamar is a very seasoned basketball player and brings many years of experience to the game as a player and a coach. He studied Psychology at Clemson and Georgetown. He has a passion for volunteering and has volunteered for the AAU as a Coach for the NW Ohio Vipers, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint, Flint Soup Kitchen and Powers Camp of Champions.

From 2005 – 2015, Lamar was an international professional basketball player in five different countries including: Angola, Costa Rica, France, Japan, Qatar and Switzerland.

 

He has a lot of experience working with youth basketball. He was the Basketball Director for the Raquette Lake Camps where he was responsible for skill development and lesson planning for 260 campers.

For the past seven years, Lamar has been a Basketball Skill Development Trainer where he works with local athletes year round. Lamar also works as the Basketball Director and a Skill Development Coach for 03 Sports Complex where he oversees general operations of the facility, leagues, tournaments and training.
